Build in Wood 2026 opens with a crucial question: How can we bring nature back to the heart of decision-making in the construction industry – while scaling timber construction safely and responsibly?
Since its foundation in 2021, Built by Nature has rapidly emerged as a leading global voice in the movement for responsible timber construction. In this presentation, Joe Giddings will explain how new Principles for Responsible Construction were co-developed, highlight the international endorsements they have received, and demonstrate how these principles can be applied to real-world projects. The goal is to help developers, architects, and clients translate these principles into practice at a time when demands for documentation, traceability, and risk assessment are intensifying.
